Brad Parker Steps Down As Head Coach

The New Westminster Junior A Salmonbellies today announced that head coach Brad Parker has stepped down as the organization's Junior A team Head Coach due to work commitments. His working career has taken on additional responsibilities as the Police Chief in Port Moody and he is unable to fully commit to his position as head coach and is taking a leave of absence from coaching.

Brad has played a key role in the organization's progress the past four years, leading the Intermediate A Bellies to back-to-back provincial championships, before guiding the Junior A team to the league finals last year.

Brad will be sadly missed by both the players and volunteers as he brought a great deal of enthusiasm, professionalism, and above all competitive spirit to the arena each day.

As difficult a decision as this was for Brad he leaves knowing that the Junior A Salmonbellies are in good shape to continue the steps forward with Dan Perreault taking on the head coaching duties assisted by coaches Ray Porcellato and Jason Dallavalle.

We wish Brad the very best.
